On Tuesday, October 1, at 1 pm, the time has finally come for Iris de Ruiter. She will defend her dissertation 'Low-frequency radio transients: systematic search methods and characterization' at the University of Amsterdam. De Ruiter used radio telescopes to search for fast astronomical phenomena called transients. Her supervisors are Ralph Wijers and Antonia Rowlinson.
